Stage Pin Connector
AKA Grounded Pin Connector
AKA two-pin and ground Connector
AKA 2p&G
Stage pin connectors are one of the most common connector in theatre. It is a flat connector with three pins - hot, neutral, and ground. The neutral and ground pin are closer together and the hot pin is separated. The ground pin, like on most plugs, is longer/sticks out further than the other two pins. Most stage pin connectors in the US are rated for 20A/120V, but one should always check the rating before using.

Cable Length
Most theatres will have cables of set lengths, typically 5', 10', 15'. 25', and 50'. Cables are often color coded using electrical tape to help with easy identification.
At SU, we use the following color codes for lengths:
GREEN = short (5')
BLUE = mid (10'-15')
YELLOW = long (25'-30')
RED = very long (50'+)

Two-fer
A two-fer is an adapter that has two receptacles and a single plug. This allows two fixtures to be plugged into the same circuit. The two fixtures are then controlled together. Three-fers and four-fers exist as well.
